About a year ago, I am over 50 years of age and thought it was too late for me to learn any music instruments, but SC brought back fun and love of music to me through a beautiful instrument, "SAXOPHONE". Thanks for you patients and expertise in Teaching, congrads on your new shop !!

我係新同學Chris，岩岩上左兩堂（單對單授課），想係到分享小小心得．

先介紹下我自己，我係一個完全新手，冇樂理底，冇玩過任何樂器（如果夾硬要講一樣，就係小學上堂學過牧童笛）．雖然係咁，但係上阿sir堂都覺得完全冇壓力，Super funny~!　我岩岩去學哥陣時好緊張，張sir為左令我地呢d緊張一族放鬆，會係教學的時候加插一d saxphone式的笑話（佢話d笑話都諗左好耐，俾個叻佢！），令到成個過程的氣氛好好．　而我呢d上班族落堂之後練習時間唔多，記性又麻麻，但係經過張sir獨特的教學方式之後，以上問題都唔成問題．總之一句講曬：Saxphone好好玩！

張sir好好人，不過有一個缺點，就係d時間好易full曬，同埋每次上堂時間都過得好快v_v（如果張sir睇到呢到，就記住下次罰我留下堂，我唔介意的，ha ha）

我之前去一D不知名的老師學(ALTO)學到一頭霧水... (上堂6個月,自學3個月)

昨天去你度學第一堂,學清楚番曬D基本,concept. 一天光曬.

你是一位好識教人的老師 (我是一位老 sales,所以感覺到), 但我不是音樂人, 請不要介意 (一年前先由zero開始,zero樂理, hehe).

所以我向所有人推介! 比個VERY GOOD.

月前因開始plan求婚的大計而開始找尋saxophone的學習途徑，曾在外試過一大班的上課方式...，可惜因人數太多，老師未能指導得太過深入.
後，更因本人的工作時間有所更改而未能出席課堂...
後來，於網上找到了張Sir的Website.再看到其實同學的成績、表演等，都已感到阿Sir"好勁"
但...自己未試過...都係半信半疑...
今日第一次上堂，不足45分鐘的個人課程，已讓我可以吹到樂曲的音律...Cool!!!
對於一個睇"香雞豆豉"唔叻的我...阿Sir有好多唔同的方法令我去掌握...正呀~!

我都係新手一名!上左四堂,己經吹到幾道歌!!Cheung sir上堂好用心!但又唔嚴,一d壓力都無,正!係屋企唔明,msn搵Cheung sir 都好快解決!我果班人數唔多,所以一堂學到好多野!開頭唸住都要練一段時間先可以吹歌!估唔到可以噤快!我仲可以趕得切係女友生日吹兩首歌冧佢添!!^^

我冇咩音樂低, 但上張Sir教授的Saxophone課程, 完全冇壓力, 好玩, 真正學到野, 冇諗到我覺得最難既5線譜, 張Sir既教學方法令到我可以係2堂左右(2個星期)就掌握到, 唔洗見到5線譜就怕怕! 而且上左3堂已經可以吹到歌, 張Sir用心教授, 堂堂都真係會學到野,強!!

I'm so glad that at my age of 62, just passed Trinity Grade 8 Jazz Saxophone exam with 66 marks.
As I reported to Stephen after the exam, I very much enjoyed that part of solo improvisation on "Tenderly" as he taught me whilst playing in a very short distance between the examiner and me. And all the notes I played in sightreading were seemed to be no mistake.
Thank Stephen for your expert guidance.
You inspired me the confidence and how to jazz good.
I'm yet young in music, considering to enter performer diploma soon!

上左第二堂, 每一堂都學到新野，初初學saxophone 學新野係好正常，不過張sir 教嘅新野就不正常，佢第二常就叫我地吹生日歌，仲教我地用最簡單嘅方法背生日歌，一堂就學會大半首歌，有朋友就快生日，真係好有用，thank you, Sir!

之前我在工聯會上了三堂色士風初班，感覺不是很好，而且有想放棄學色士風的念頭，因為覺得很沒趣，很難學。

由網絡上找到張sir的課程，今晚上了第一課，感覺和之前的老師有很大差別，這位老師除了風趣外，在教學方面每個細節都顧及到，而且解釋得清楚，令學生不會感到壓力，我發原來色士風不是以前想的那樣沒趣，令我又再喜歡色士風了。

本人認為"吹得叻,唔等於識點教!" (因為我自己係教化妝的.所以深深明白 ~.~) 但佢兩樣都掂 >.< 勁! 勁! 勁!

响2010年我跟過另一位老師學Saxophone,斷斷續續1年幾...我覺得浪費左自己嘅時間同金錢! 直到遇上張sir,我再次重拾心情,拎返起我支"風"!

12/1/12 上左第1堂
1) 上堂過程中完全無壓力,好輕鬆,唔會覺得悶!
2) 鍾意張sir用簡單易明嘅比喻.教我點樣睇住五線譜,記啲制嘅位置,睇得出佢用左唔小心機去設計啲方法比同學們! 仲有筆記嘅公仔佢親手繪畫,好得意!
3) 第一堂時間雖然好快就過左,但到今日我仍然記得張sir教嘅所有嘢! 即係代表張sir教得好,我又學得到,,最緊要無晒到自己啲錢! 哈哈哈~~~

I met Stephen a couple of months ago and I wish I had met him sooner. He has brought the saxophone to life for me with his good observations and simple tips and drills. He is a very talented teacher with a gift for explanation, often by reference to helpful examples and analogies. Bravo!

沒想過..一段沒有背影音樂的 close to you 能帶動了我的心, 令人沉醉於一個性感的感覺.
最初想學saxophone只是為了抒發自己的情感, 用來自己減壓的. 沒想到完來這東東可以帶動聽者的靈魂的, 張sir多謝你.你讓我知道我沒有選錯了老師.

之前我在工聯會上了一個色士風初班，感覺很差，因為老師的關係, 差點令我有放棄的念頭..........

幸好在網上找到張sir的wedsite，今晚上第二堂了，感覺和之前的老師有很大差別，這位老師除了於音樂造詣上有出色表現之外，在教學方面每個細節都能顧及到學生的感受，令學生不會感到壓力，這無疑上令到像我這些對音樂全沒天份的學生都沒有hard feeling~~

Part of my job I need to teach my girls/boys and I understand very much even I know the subject well, I have to prepare myself before the lesson. 張SIR﹕

今天是第3個月上你的色士風課了！

回想以前讀中學的時候，因為父母的監督下學習了色士風。
那時候感覺很大壓力，除了要面對皇家音樂考試外，
還要學樂理、練樂團、參加學校比賽等等。
可幸的是我當時已經考了8級 (雖然成知只是僅僅合格)，
每次吹奏的時候只是感覺像和色士風戰鬥，完全不享受吹奏音樂！
所以我讀了大學的時候就沒有再考演奏級了。

到我出來工作了之後，看到了小林香織的nothing gonna change my love for you之後，
再次引起我對色士風學習的興趣。無意間看到這裡的網頁，
便決定再嘗試學習色士風，並以考獲演奏級作目標！
可是，演奏級的曲目已經改了syllabus，中學時期所練習的已經冇用了......T_T
(這點非常多謝老師提點我已改了syllabus)
張sir好有系統咁教我新既歌點樣玩，用youtube，親自demo等等，
教得非常詳盡！希望你可以繼續指點我~hehe！

上左幾堂初班，真係俾張sir o既教學熱情所感動。我本身都係玩開吉他同夾band彈keyboard，自覺樂器都可以自學。但每次上堂都覺得獲益良多。再加上張sir你風趣优默，又成日whatsapp線上支援，真係好後悔點解吾早d跟你學saxophone。但係我覺得你最成功o既地方係將好沈悶o既野，搞到好生動，而且引發學生對吹saxophone既興趣，有興趣自然就會俾心機練習。阿sir你真係saxophone界o既一代宗師！我也希望可以到我牙到甩曬都重會日日攬住支saxophone！

跟左阿sir上堂差不多成年，由完全唔識音樂到現在可以自己係家練習，雖然因為太忙，但張sir都耐心就番你程度安排上堂，當佢發現你進度未跟得上其他人，仲細心擔心你會跟唔上失信心，安排你係另一班程度差唔多的一同上堂，遇唔明，你問都會很快得到回覆，這點對初學者真的很重要，而且阿sir好快就睇或聽出你問題所在，盡快作出糾正，擔心壞了手勢難改

回想起年幾前。跟朋友談起想學色土風，於是去找老師，去找色土風去學，初時跟之那個老師。我學得不夠認真，資質不好，連吹低音都控制不到，最后老師跟我說，放棄學色士風，我本來想過放棄。
後來我跟朋來到張Sir學，他敎的方式獨特，容易理解，没有壓力，學到好多技巧，給我很多信心，我覺得只要交齊張Sir给我的功課，就會有好大的成就感，…張Sir多謝你！

因才施教，這是我對張SIR的印象

今天參與了 Stephen Cheung張sir一手創辦的音樂堂喬遷開幕儀式,心裡也替他高興。回想起一年前一次偶然的機會,結識了張sir,開始了我的音樂夢。自問自己對音樂祗懂皮毛,但張sir沒有嫌棄我們,還用更大力度,更多時間教導我們,他希望的只是我們在音樂中得到樂趣,除非他約了家人,否則每次下堂落總和我們傾得不亦樂乎,寧願放棄轉堂休息的時間,也解答我們的問題, 這可見他對我們學生的熱誠。今日見到很多師兄師姐,為音樂堂表演助慶,在他們臉上不難找到笑容,享受音樂與否，不言而喻了。在來年希望擴充了的音樂堂業務蒸蒸日上，各同學也在你帶領下一起走在音樂的路上找到歡樂,加油呀！張sir!

我2012年5月結婚, 希望給妻子一個難忘的婚禮, 所以結婚前半年決定學一種樂器, 並在婚宴上表演送給妻子.

在網上研究了個多月, 終於找到一位很出名的色士風老師....Stephen Cheung, 那時已經係三月. 膽粗粗打俾張Sir, 問他若想在婚禮上吹 Saxophone, 而又沒有任何知識, 只有兩個月時間 , 夠唔夠時間學....

張Sir 說: " 放心, 交俾我, 包你老婆感動落淚"

我起初都係半信半疑, 兩個月時間, 邊有可能吹到.......

第一次上堂, 張 Sir 好有耐性教我, 講解 Saxophone 的背景, 握法. 又鼓勵我多些在家 practise. 他獨特的教法, 使我可以記得不同音的指法.

我每星期上堂一次, 張 Sir 很細心地教我, 指出我的問題........兩個月後, 學識吹一首太太喜歡的詩歌.
婚宴上, 如張 Sir 所言, 太太感動落淚. 在場賓客都拍案叫絕.

之後, 我繼續跟 Stephen 學 Saxophone, 他對每個學生都很好, 當我們是朋友, 上堂好開心, 可以將工作上的壓力暫時放下.

剛考完第一次皇家音樂學院的考試, 拿到不錯的成績, 多謝張Sir 悉心教導.

You will not know and experience what we are experiencing now if u never try Cheung Sir's lessons!

Cheung Sir is a talkative, having a sense of humour, patient and experienced teacher I've never met before !

He can point out how u can be batter sharply!

I've just attend TWO and I deeply understanding what I can improve and what I have to alter on my bad habits!

Music zone can provide you a good teaching and learning environment.

Cheung sir he never selfish but generously sharing! making me get more initiative to practise and concentrate during class!

No dead air and none boring time I could never found during lessons!

Besides, Cheung sir also encourage classmates to form study group. Monitor / class representative will share notes, music and practise materials beyond lesson. What a good teaching and learning attitude !

Furthermore, Cheung Sir will assist u to choose what kind of musical instrument u r suitable with. Also, he will help u to tune, test, and make it perfect before hand-over to u! He is a very nice teacher indeed!

I bought my ALTO saxophone from Cheung Sir.

The saxophone is of the greatest quality in all aspects.

Its sound is smooth and beautiful. I want to stress that the “Air Response” is quick, meaning that the
saxophone can produce nice sounds when I blow in.

I bought it from Cheung Sir not only because of its quality, but also the service that Cheung Sir has provided. He helped me tune the saxophone to a level which suits me a lot. This enhances my interest in learning sax.

在年前,是透過這留言版決定找Cheung sir學習,這決定真的沒錯。
多謝Cheung sir熱誠,用心的教導, 用課餘時間聽我們的功課給與comment。
終於...由一張白紙,到現在,教懂可以睇譜及在這張白紙上,畫上了ABRSM grade 3 合格的美麗音符。(鼓掌...)
期待可再上一層樓,
延續小時候未有機會的音樂之旅。 (尖叫....) 。。。

老實講，我頭先落左堂同Yoken傾左一陣，我地之前在別的地方上嘅中班，嗰兩個幾月，真係平白浪費了很多時間，既沒有教過任何樂理，更沒有教吹奏技巧。

所以我地上左你兩堂之後，發覺好多野都要由頭學起，不過上堂學習氣氛實在不錯，有比較，有高低先會的起心肝練多一點吧！

Today lesson, I forgot to bring my own saxophone. So I pick one from S.C place. First I pick a brand which I have seen from the "Sax and Brass" megazine. The Aoto Saxophone. So I give it a try for my lesson. Of course, after "testing" for the saxophone, I was required by S.C to post a review of it.

Okay, my setup for the lesson was a Pillinger NYA (hard rubber) mouth piece with a wood stone reed #2.5. The ligature is the EGR lig.

Well, honestly, what I can say is, it is superb!

It is a easy play horn, it got adequate but not strong resistance that making easier to control the airflow. The sound is good, pure and a bit dark giving a moody feel and provide a strong bass on the low tone. The response is good and made me able to play fast with a clear tone. The tuning is good, I can easily play up to altissimo Bb without extra effort, which I normally can only play for an altissimo A with a lot of effort for the same setup on my Yamaha.

But besides of the sound quality, the keys was somehow not suiting me. The palm key is a bit build inner, which is good for avoiding accidental touch on the palm keys but I need some more time to get used to it. The side keys are a bit heavy. Maybe it is quite a new horn that seldom been played.

Overall, this is a great horn with great sound, but need some time to get used to the key design of it.

Cheung sir is a man with high tolerance n patience to his students. I juz attended two lessons so far but literally feel the harmony n bonding between him n his students.
Also he is generous to share his music knowledge n experience to all of us :)

張Sir, 你個Christmas Student Concert真係好勁, 一年比一年盛大, 初初聽到要去科學館演奏廳表演都嚇親, 仲要係Tom記公開賣票, 玩到咁大! 不過你個Concert真係對我地學生好大幫助, 相信唔係個個學Saxophone嘅人都可以有公開表演嘅機會, 係出面應該都好少阿Sir會為學生搞呢類咁大型音樂會吧。台上一分鐘,台下十年功,初上台真係手震口震,不過總算演出成功，我女朋友都話我首Misty好聽，真係好好嘅體驗。當然最開心係中到你份大獎啦，估唔到你咁大手筆用咁貴嘅vibrato polycarbonate saxophone做抽獎禮物，好正牙！！期待下年再有機會做表演！！希望你繼續宣揚Saxophone文化啦,好似台灣咁勁！！Thx，張Ｓｉｒ！！

Got my exam result today. my 1st musical exam in my life. 1 yr ago never think of passing a grade 5 jazz. With Cheung sir's help in the past year finally got it. When doing the exam know the examiner was a serious and meant musician but still lucky to pass. Thanks to Cheung sir's hardwork again. Next goal, grade 6 jazz.

it is so delightful n amazing that i got the grade 3 exam passed. as a lazy student like me, cant believe that i have such unexpected result. i can say i m lucky but Cheung sir has yet done the big part of this. in the lesson, i ve learnt many skills which it definitely strengthens my techique. once again thank you... ar sir!

Cheung Sir is a very teacher know How to teach us and keep us amuse in the class and learning. With the mobile technology, Cheung Sir could keep us know her assignment and submission of homework even I'm not in HK.. great learning.

Stephen is a very responsive teacher with good music knowledge. He can teach a large variety of music, from jazz to pop to bebop and etc... If you have special song request , he can always provide the support. I would recommend Stephen to anyone who is interested in saxophone.

Glad to be 101th!!

Cheung sir is very dedicated to drive students to learning saxophone. You can't find a teacher who is as interesting yet helpful to your learning. I personally cannot commit too much time on practicing because of my job but Cheung sir is very patient in teaching.

If you have passion to learn saxophone, go ask him for assistance before he gets too busy!!!!

在日本旅行時買了個Yamaha Custom 4cm 吹嘴，二手也要大約六百元港幣，淘寶全新價也要八百多人民幣。有新吹嘴用十分開心！一直用緊Hard Rubber Aoto 吹嘴，買個貴D,當然想好D! 但.... 用後.... 我發現兩件事：1. 唔係貴就一定適合自己。2. Aoto 真係堅好用！當然，唔係話個Yamaha Custom 唔得，都係一個易吹既吹嘴，但我surprise 吹低音C時都好唔穩定，個音好震，反而Aoto完全冇哩個問題，高音低音一吹即到。而且整體穩定性Aoto 係比我個Yamaha 好, 因後者偏易走音，可能我未習慣用吧。但第一次用Aoto 又冇哩個問題。當然，Yamaha Custom 又未至於差，佢比Aoto 用既氣少，吹長音易，高音都好易吹。只係，冇諗過一個Aoto 吹嘴哩個價錢原來有咁好既質素啫！

亞sir佢好nice，我咁蠢都冇話我，但如果我太懶佢就會........
在興趣班裡，佢教jazz, classical,又教流行曲。
但當教樂理時，我就有時一頭霧水，好在佢不厭其煩......
我跟佢買了支 Aoto 品牌的 alto, honey gold 隻色越睇越靚，音色也不錯。最近更跟佢訂了支 Aoto 的黑金 soprano, 期待它早日到港，loving it

張sir其實你係咪咁勁呀, 我好難入腦架野, 你一下就用你自己創立的方法, 一下就可以易令我理解, 仲以要一頭白髮, 我至可以記得果七八成, 雖然唔係一下十成我記得晒, 但係九成記憶就走唔甩.

學左就黎兩年，就黎考五級喇！
上堂真係好感受到呀SIR o既熱誠，尤其係呀sir叫我地whatsapp錄功課俾佢，可以節省返好多上堂o既時間，而且呀sir一聽就知我問題係邊，包你唔會練錯晒，有時一星期可以錄幾次俾佢，好正，進步得好快！因為好快有回饋！
我本身都係一名教師，o係自己o既教學上面都copy左呢個方法，叫d學生o係whatsapp交功課俾我，真係好work！

學了半年，昨天收到呀Sir獎勵的自家牌子的Aoto吹嘴，比起Yamaha 4C 吹嘴還要易控制，中高音都較明亮，但用氣要多一些，要多練習就可上手，對新手信心及增進興趣都有幫助，當然新手不用心急買較專業吹嘴例如Selmer C*等，新同學如多交功課及多練呀Sir教的技巧，上手會更快，很快你都可以吹到，Let it go 等等。

I have never thought of passing my Grade 3 exam without Cheung Sir. He surprised me by bringing me from a failed student to get my first ever distinction in music exam. Thanks for his encouragement and teaching. He is the excellent teacher to motivate you to learn and to overcome problems, other than to stuff you with skills that you cannot master. I look forward to learning Jazz from him. Thanks!

最初我覺得Grade 5是遙不可及的目標，但經過張Sir這半年的悉心教導，令我可以輕鬆應付Grade 5 考試。我非常希望其同我一樣有色士風煩惱的同學一定要找張Sir幫忙和指導。

雖然新saxophone一定有其優勢，但總要來個認真的比較。在舊的Vif和新的Aoto之間，有下面的結果:
1/. 外表方面---新的Aoto的紋理比較細緻，按鈕大一點點，neck上的高音鍵扣位有其特色(一般都採用圓線設計)。
2/. 音色方面---不知道是否Vif採用了我喜愛的銀色塗層(因為我有手汗)，在金屬變厚了的情況下，聲音一直困在bell裡面，高音時顯得很尖削、不夠氣，低音時不夠闊。而在Aoto身上完全沒有上述的問題。另外在控制大聲，小聲吹奏時很暢順，沒有被截斷的感覺。
3/.按鍵方面---新的Aoto相信在生產時下過不少的工夫，彈弓在快速換鍵(kennyg常用的那種技巧)的情況下音準ok,沒有突然因走氣令簧片發出尖叫聲。我用Vif由低音D快速吹上高音G時，由C去高音D時每每都會令簧片發出尖叫聲。要突然慢下才接得好。
4/. 重量方面---拿上手，Aoto很明顯的比Vif輕了1/5的重量。
5/.其他配件---抹布，頸繩都齊備，Case可以手抽和有背帶，要出外考級或表演携帶方便。
總括來說，這種價錢有這種質素的Saxophone, 倒令我有點驚喜。

我在音樂堂已學了14個月,我係一張白紙咁走入去學,記得初初接觸SAXOPHONE時,真係有點頭痛,不過只要肯問,張SIR必定會好有心機教你,無論係親身去問,或者夜媽媽WTSAPP佢,佢都會答到你明為止,就係因為佢有咁既態度同熱誠,我一有問題就會毫不猶豫去搵張SIR,仲記得我之前去日本買SAXOPHONE,張SIR主動叫我吹俾佢聽,之後SEND俾佢,幫我睇下支野有冇問題,呢D老師去邊度搵,我已經同張SIR亦師亦友,係佢身上除左學到音樂外,亦學到待人接物,我而家雖然都未係吹得好好,但有好多朋友都話我吹得唔錯,鐘意我表演俾佢地睇,而只係用左1年多少少時間,所以我係度多謝張SIR:識吹識教真功夫!

今年的聖誕令我過得特別開心，因我grade 8已pass了😀，而且取得好成績。首先一定一定要多謝張sir，因為如果冇了佢的鼓勵，和用心的教導，以及考試的重要技巧，就不一定順利pass。在這刻想和大家分享一下，回想以前聽倒saxophone音樂的時候，立刻被佢音色吸引，因此下定決心去學，但學了約半年就冇學，因老師教得不好，而且非常計較，技巧上沒有進步，因此冇學7年，直至在3年前聽小林演唱會，而認識音樂堂，才知道原來有好多好老師，再加上張sir的熱情，以及告訴我只要自己有決心，再加上多練習，和把佢自己的知識和技巧，豪不保留教我，而且有問必答，當然都是要靠自己吸收，但張sir的尊業精神令我佩服。所以就重新再學，當初都是為了興趣，但張sir說考試可提升自己信心和肯定，以及推動自己。所以現在8級成功，張sir😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘

In Dec 2015 I learned that I managed to pass the Grade 3 Jazz Sax Exam with distinction, including a perfect score on the solo section.

I must say I was quite surprised by the result (I had not played for very long), and should thank teacher Mr. Stephen Cheung and Alison the wonderful piano accompanist and aural instructor. I am grateful and this would not have been possible without their guidance.

People always ask: “do we learn a musical instrument just to take exam after exam endlessly? is that what music is all about, taking exams all the time?”

I think that is not an important question, because it is the wrong question to ask. A better question is: “What difference does an exam make?”

To be honest, I don’t like taking exams. I think most people share the same feeling – just like going to the dentist. And yet, we still go to the dentist, because it is essential. For me preparing for exams is a good way, maybe the most effective way, to develop technique and discipline in musical skills. Even though I dislike scales practice (who does not?), I realized afterwards it was really helpful in improvisation, sight-reading and picking up new pieces.

Perhaps it is possible that some people can progress without taking exams, or even “self-learn” without a teacher. As a hobby that might be true... If one was serious about being a musician, or have ambition to engage in performances and competition, preparing for an exam is still a good way to get there.

Otherwise, I suspect only a minority succeed in the end.

張 Sir 多謝你介紹咗支 Aoto Saxophone 比我, 雖然是低價入門版,
但真的很容易操控只要換上較好的吹咀. 用了幾個年頭都一樣咁好聲,.還有很多空間可發揮到出來的 !!
可能是張 Sir 介紹, 又是人生中第一支sax, 所以對它特別是有感情的,
真是捨不得換走它 !!

因為本人希望在婚禮上用SAXOPHONE 演奏一首情歌俾我老婆聽,加上本身有以前吹開中國笛子, 以為好快可以上手, 所以問了有SAXOPHONE 的朋友借左支SAXOPHONE 來練習, 但一直得不到要領, 發音一直都唔穩定.
直至搵到張SIR上堂, 張SIR只用了4 堂的時間就令我能夠演奏一首情歌, 我好多謝佢.

雖然婚禮當日, 演奏大失水準, 前半後好多走音, 但好在後半段首越吹越順, 賓客都好投入, 我老婆也收貨..

真係要多謝張SIR !

Jazz Tenor is not easy to practice especially the solo section, however, under the good guidance and teaching of Cheung Sir, help me to build up the confidence to play the Tenor Jazz Sax steadily.

Hi everybody, I have just received my Grade 6 Trinity passed result from our Professional Mr. Cheung Sir this afternoon by Whatsapp. It is a surprising and greatest gift for me just before Christmas 2017. Many thanks to Mr. Cheung for his patiently effort and mentorship througout my learning and practising period by the whole year 2017. Really, learning saxophone is not so difficult for me, but you may find it more easy, funny and interesting when you have the experience working with the mentorship with Mr. Cheung. I am a mature student who always without enough time for practising after tutorial with Mr. Cheung, however, you may success if you really listen to his advise and teaching method which will greatly motivate your to the path of higher Grading in your music journey. A part from that there are three songs need to be perform during the exam, the most difficult one is the solo one, so you better and must take more time to practice. However, the other two Songs including the Romance and Vocalise is more challenging and interesting when you really involve your feeling during your performance. As a matter of facts, learing scale and Aural test seem to be more time demanding, it really take at least 3 to 4 months practising if you really want to get pass marks. No matter what, finding a trustworthly and reliable teacher is the best way for you to enjor your future performane and practising. Many thanks to my classmate, piano teacher and Mr. Cheung Sir for this year award. Enjoy learning and practising is my advise for your coming success.

起初報學親子班只有自己和兒子兩人，親子關係真的改善了很多，只希望考試可以合格就算了，但經過張老師悉心及專業的教導，上次兒子得到merit，再多幾分就有機會取得distinction.張老師繼續鼓勵兒子努力，預計在三级考試應該可以取得distinction。後來妹妹又話要一齊學，親子二人班變成三人班，起初覺得如果女兒能在一級考試取得合格已經是件難事，但張Sir的教學法確實專業，能把無心向學的女兒變得學習有動力，在今次考試中，女兒一级考試取得merit,確實是奇蹟，兒子今次報考三級，真的取得distinction,張Sir的眼光真的獨到，我自己身為爸爸也報考三级，也取得合格，子女成績好過自己，當然很感恩，很多謝音樂堂！很多謝張Sir! 報讀音樂堂色士風親子班是我在這兩年為子女安排的課外活動中最正確的選擇！Thank You Mr.Cheung.

我係一位中年男士最初係我朋友問我好唔好一齊學色士風, 我考慮咗一陣就答應咗, 最初學色士風唔係跟張sir學, 學咗四個月始終都摸不著頭腦, 有一日我朋友同我講不如試下轉去第二間嗰間叫音樂堂, 我就即刻想youtube打音樂堂睇下呢間係乜嘢嚟, youtube一開始有位小姐後面寫著音樂堂佢吹住新不了情，嗰一刻真係著迷，二話不說就同我朋友講下個月轉去音樂堂，我記得第一日返去張sir度問咗個問題點解轉過嚟，嗰一刻真係想答因為我見到小林香織以為佢喺度教囉（講笑）, 跟咗張sir都差不多三個月，感覺到張sir每一堂都好留意我哋嘅進度有什麼地方要注意，正如我開頭所講已經係一位中年男士佢亦唔會因為我哋手腳慢而冇心機相反非常有耐性教導，我而家覺得每一堂都好似攞到啲嘢走咁，最後我希望不久將來領略到什麼叫男人的浪漫，多謝你張 sir.

張仔(張Sir)係我學吹色士風第2位老師，我只跟張仔2個月，佢就教識我學懂睇豆豉，我只是色魔初哥，我夢想當然想吹得出色一點，希望以我現在年紀可以做到，但都要靠你張仔指點先得，如果我有朋友想學吹色士風，我一定叫佢去 "音樂堂"揾張師傅，祝音樂堂百尺竿頭，更進一步。

跟張Sir學Saxophone已5年, 參加聖誕音樂會亦第4年, 每次都會找個課題去挑戰, 今年嘗試Kenny G 名曲（可惜最後都失手）。現場表演和練習時吹奏是完全是兩回事, 尤對於學習中的我,無論於考Grade或演出有很大幫助，實在是個保貴的經驗。今年我要阿仔參與演奏，阿仔亦表示現場非常緊張，和平時練習完全不同，等於現場上了一課，如有機會一定再參與。其實舉辦一次演奏會是需要花很多人力物力, 故真的要多謝張Sir每年都花心思舉辦演奏會，希望張Sir日後舉辦更多這些活動, 我一定支持😁🎉🎉🎉

我在公司的週年晚宴上的表演，無你都唔知點算好呀!由一開始學到要表演只有77日，前後要表演兩隻歌包括不許你注定一人同埋壹號皇庭。我本身係無信心可以做得到呢件事，好彩遇到SIR你，你用最簡單的方法，最貼心的教學，仲有最真切的誠意用教我呢個音盲，令我企到上台都唔會失禮。我真係衷心感激你，你完成左我咁多年來的夢想，拉近左我同音樂之間的距離。只要有心，一定可以做到。

Cheung sir has taught me for over 8 years, and I have passed my grade 8 jazz exam a few months ago.

As of right now, I am studying in LA, as a grade 11 student. It turns out being a grade 8 saxophone player really has its own perks. One of my experiences being immediately accepted into my school’s chapel band without going through an audition, as well as joining an Honors class for Orchestra with ease.

During the first week of school here in LA, my band teacher has invited me to multiple jamming sessions during lunch break, where he would be on his piano and I would be on my sax, both improvising over different parts of a song. It was truly one of the best moments I’ve had since first learning the sax.

I really want to thank Cheung Sir for these 8 years of sax, because to be honest, I will not be where I am without him. I truly believe that his efforts opened up a lot of doors for me, and I am forever grateful for all the memories of his enjoyable classes.

January 2022 is a wonderful year as I have finally passed my grade 8 jazz exam. This is my third attempt, and many thanks to Cheung Sir for his patience and support to make it successful. Don't give up and continue hard work with good teacher is the only way to make it through. It is difficult to find a all round experience teacher in the sax market, it is lucky for me to find Cheung Sir to be your music partner to assist you to overcome all difficulties during different grade of exam. Young people please enjoy your learning with Cheung Sir, see you success soon too.

因為我先生想學saxophone 的原故，於是我就以陪先生去學的心態於6月份上了一堂試堂。
誰不料張sir的教學十分吸引我們，話雖是試堂，但張sir真的十分有耐性，深入淺出的方法去教我們如何使用吹咀，而且整個過程十分有趣生動，更加增加了我對saxophone的興趣！
現在我已經學了兩個月，張sir仍然是用生動有趣的方法去教導我們技巧，並且每個星期都會耐心聆聽我們的功課並給予評語，指導我們如何做得更好！
多謝張sir用心的教導！由一開始的一曉不通，到現在可以吹簡單的樂曲！我地一定會比心機繼續學落去，直到8級😜😝

Jayden 是一個六歲的小男孩，對於從來未接觸過Saxophone的他，我對他不敢抱有太大期望，當初只抱着一試無妨的心態來上第一堂。喜出望外的是，張sir用非常生動又有趣的教學方法，引導兒子學習吹saxophone, 最重要的是令他對這個樂器越來越感興趣，現在學了三個月，兒子已常常主動在家裏自發地練習saxophone, 感謝張sir的悉心教導和鼓勵！希望兒子繼續進步！

終於考到8級! 當初1個中佬為了有型, 花了差不多10年時間, 由和音樂毫無關係到可以吹奏色士風, 回想起真的有點傻. 一方面要工作維持家庭生活,另一方面又要抽時間練習,真的有想過不再考級,慶幸能夠堅持, 多謝張sir一直以來用心教導和鼓勵, 即使我現在身在外地, 仍然透過視象指導, 我才可順利以8級回應張Sir幫助, 真的興幸多年來可以跟張Sir學習！
